While we had reviewed the single Paranoiac Personality, and reviewed Paranormal (a two part review) shortly after it came out, we held off ranking it until we completed all the other previous Alice Cooper album reviews.   So, welcome to our FOURTH Paranormal-related show.

But… we’re there.  All 27 studio albums reviewed!!

We will still be back to discuss our Alice playlists, favorite album artwork, and the live albums. Paranormal rolled in as #3 on Kelly’s list, and #5 on Mike’s.

This week we review Alice Cooper’s 26th album “Welcome 2 My Nightmare”, a sequel to “Welcome To My Nightmare”.  Bob Ezrin returns, the original Alice Cooper group returns (sorta), Ke$ha, Vince Gill, and many other pop in as well.   We both like this album, but expectations were high going in – and it fell a bit short of them for us.

In editing the podcast I noticed 2 big fails on my part… I called “Some Folks” “Some Things” and “Genuine American Girl” “Real American Girl”.  Apologies!!

This was released with multiple variations of bonus tracks.  Both Mike and I feel this bonus track should have ended the album.

This week we review Alice Cooper’s 25th album “Along Came a Spider”.  Both Mike and Kelly feel this has been an underappreciated album – and possibly Alice’s best concept album execution ever.  BTW, it was the Spinal Tap song “Hell Hole” that Kelly saw similarities with in the chorus of “I’m Hungry”.  Just a little 🙂

This week we review Alice Cooper’s 24th album “Dirty Diamonds”.  This was a tricky album.  The highs were VERY high (Woman of Mass Distraction, Saga of Jesse Jane, Dirty Diamonds), while the lows were kind of low (Pretty Ballerina).   Still… it is Alice and therefore awesome.

BTW, in case you thought Kelly was trying to pull a fast one on saying “Stand” was an Olympic song, check out track 13 on Unity.

This week we review Alice Cooper’s 23rd album “The Eyes of Alice Cooper”.  Alice leaves the industrial world of Dragontown and Brutal Planet and returns to a more garage band sound.  The most excellent Chuck Garric also makes his first appearance on bass for Alice on this album.   While Mike and I both like this album and there are some interesting/fun songs, it didn’t soar to the top of either of our lists.
